IMPORTANT NEW RULES
* All animals must have 840 tag and premise ID
* All lactating cattle must have negative H5N1 milk PCR test dated within 7 days prior to arrival
* Entries open ONLY to cattle coming from the central valley region- Bakersfield to Sacramento
*All cattle arriving at the show MUST first stop at vet check area
* All exhibitors attend at their own risk, and do not hold the CA Holstein Association or its directors liable for any health risks.
 
When submitting entries online, you as the owner/exhibitor are agreeing to adhere to all show rules and Holstein USA Show Ring Code of Ethics, this is applicable to all crew members as well.

8:00 am Access to grounds for tack and set-up. NO CATTLE
 
1:00-4:00 pm: Cattle arrival

TUESDAY 5/6
8:00 am -12:00 pm: Cattle arrival
*All trailers must stop at vet check station upon arrival
* NO CATTLE ALLOWED TO ENTER AFTER 12:00 pm
 
2:00-5:00 HOLSTEINS & JERSEYS check in papers for show numbers
*all junior contest schedules posted
 
6:30 Exhibitors’ Meeting in show ring
 
WEDNESDAY 5/7  ‘Junior Day’
7:45 registration for  Clipping Contest
8:00 Clipping Contest
 
10:15  registration for Judging Contest
10:30-12:30 Judging Contest (4 classes, 1 reasons)
 
12:30-1:30 CA Junior Holstein meeting, followed by Written Knowledge Exam
         hosted Pizza Social
 
4:00-6:00 Showmanship- youngest to oldest - Novice, Junior, Intermediate, Advanced

 8:00-10:00 Youth Challenge interviews
 
12:00  All heifer classes- alternating Jersey/ Holstein
* R&Ws will NOT show separately, but winners will be recognizied within class, and champions selected separately
 
6:00 Peewee Showmanship
 
6:30 Exhibitors and Friends hosted dinner
* Please provide a head count for dinner to aid in planning catering!!

FRIDAY 5/9 ‘Cow Day’   
9:00    All Cow classes- alternating Jersey/ Holstein
 
*ALL exhibitors and animals are released at the conclusion of the Holstein Cow Show Friday
